Summer Outdoor Camp

DATES: June 5th – July 21st
TIME: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Extended Day available:
7:30 AM- 8:30 AM, and 4:30 PM- 5:30 PM
COST: Cost $115.00/members per week, $125/non-members per week. Price for extended day: $10/AM per week, $10/PM per week

A one-time registration fee of $25.00 is required.

Discovery Center Outdoor Camps will get you MOVING and THINKING! Not only will you explore natural Florida with new friends, our weekly quests for adventure will engage all of your senses to discover the great outdoors from a scientist’s mindset. Through active environments, fun experiments, amazing challenges, exclusive access to research facilities, and group tours with field specialists, Discovery Center Staff will strive to keep your tweens active, captivated, safe, and informed.

Come prepared to be ACTIVE, work TOGETHER, and have FUN!

NOTE: Cancellations made beyond 14 days of the first day of the camp week will qualify for a full refund less the one-time $25.00 Registration Fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 14 days of the camp week.

Week One: June 5th – June 9th
Theme: Game of Life – Building life skills for future well-being of self, finances, and relationships.

Week Two: June 12th – June 16th
Theme: What’s the Buzz with Bugs? Engaging in the study of Entomology (the study of insects).

Week Three: June 19th – June 23rd
Theme: Pet Hospital – Animal care, biology, and medical treatment for pets.

Week Four: June 26th – June 30th
Theme: Are You Afraid of the Woods? – Learn the basics of human survival and how to best survive in various environments.

No Outdoor Camp for the week of July 4th

Week Five: July 10th – July 14th
Theme: Rivers of Time – How water shaped (and continues to shape) Florida, and how we use water in our daily lives.

Week Six: July 17th – July 21st
Theme: Weird Florida – Discover the Weirdest and most popular legends of Florida and the science behind them.
