I love being part of the Discovery Center's Foundation Board because I'm passionate about science education. I've taught science at the college level but, in order to inspire future scientists, we need to engage children and show them how exciting science can be and all the different ways you can use science. Being a member of the board allows me to support the Discover Center in their mission to inspire children.

I joined the board because I believe in what the Discovery Center accomplishes in our community. Learning should be a part of everyday lives. Their programs help kids to realize that science and math aren't just facts to memorize but amazing tools to use to explore and create. It's from Discovery Center that I learned to be a more curious adult, and I'm proud to support an organization that encourages exploration at any age.
