Ken Nash

Ken Nash, Discovery Center Instructor

Ken joined the staff of Discovery Science Center in January of 1996. His primary interest for DC is weather and climate presentations, astronomy presentations, telescope viewing, STARLAB presentations, and environmental issues. Ken has a B.S. in Physics, M.S. Atmospheric Sciences and was a 1971-1995 U.S. Air Force Meteorologist, retiring in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. He has taught High School Physics at Lecanto High School and is an adjunct instructor at Central Florida Community College. He has taught at both Ocala and Citrus County Campuses. His subjects have included Earth Science, Environmental Science, and Meteorology.

Additionally, Ken is Assistant Director at Gulf Archaeology Research Institute in Crystal River, Florida. The institute is a not-for-profit research and education institute.  His primary research interests include sea level changes in the Gulf Coast region, remote sensing, and landscape indicators of environmental change. We are proud to have Ken on board with Discovery Center.

When he isn't in the classroom, Ken can be found exploring Florida's Outdoors.
