Volunteer Opportunities to Consider:

  • Exhibit Docents -Docents are volunteers at the Discovery Center who introduce visitors of all ages to the educational opportunities through a variety of programming.
  • RDFest (Rotary Discovery Festival) – February
  • Engineering Day – March 2017
  • EAGO (Earthfest at Arbor Day & the Great Outdoors) – April 2017
  • ALL CAMPS offer endless opportunities for volunteer hours. Our camps are fun and educational. ALL camp volunteers must have a background check. City policy only allows individuals ages 16 and older to volunteer during camps.
  • Critter Care! If you love animals of all kinds we encourage you to consider being a critter care volunteer. The special volunteers have a detailed regime in regards to caring for the Discovery Center Critters that our guests love to enjoy. You can get an idea of Critter Care responsibilities by reviewing the Critter Care Volunteer Contract. If interested please follow the procedure below with the Volunteer Coordinator, Connie Carroll, and specify that you would like to work with the critters.

Join us as we bring kids of all ages together to discover science in their everyday lives.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Connie Carroll for more details. Email ccarroll@ocalafl.org or call 352-368-5504.
